How Lethal Pride Works
Lethal Pride is a Karui timeless jewel that fundamentally enhances Strength-based builds in Path of Exile. When socketed into a large jewel socket on the passive tree, it affects all nodes within a 1500-unit radius. Unlike keystones (which Lethal Pride does not transform), small and notable passives receive powerful additions.
Every small passive within the radius gains +5 Strength, providing a substantial boost to Strength-stacking builds. Notable passives receive one of several powerful modifiers determined by the jewel's seed number and conqueror. The seed number (10000-18000) determines which specific modifiers appear on which notable passives.
The four Karui conquerors—Kaom, Rakiata, Kiloava, and Akoya—each influence the distribution of modifiers. While the conqueror doesn't change the available modifier pool, it affects which notables receive which bonuses, making seed selection critical for optimizing your build.
Best Lethal Pride Modifiers
5% chance to deal Double Damage
The most valuable Lethal Pride modifier. Double Damage effectively doubles your hit damage, making this a massive DPS increase for any physical or melee build. Highly sought after for endgame content.
10% chance to Intimidate Enemies for 4 seconds on Hit
Intimidated enemies take 10% increased Attack Damage. This modifier provides consistent damage scaling for melee and attack-based builds with high hit rates.
5% increased Strength / +20 to Strength
Essential for Strength-stacking builds. Strength provides life, melee physical damage, and synergizes with Iron Will, Brutus' Lead Sprinkler, and other Strength-scaling mechanics.
10% of Physical Damage taken as Fire Damage
Damage conversion for defensive layering. When combined with high fire resistance and other conversion sources, this significantly reduces physical damage taken—one of the most dangerous damage types in Path of Exile.
Best Builds for Lethal Pride
Strength-Stacking Builds: Lethal Pride is mandatory for builds using Iron Will, Brutus' Lead Sprinkler, Replica Alberon's Warpath, or Pillar of the Caged God. The +5 Strength on small passives combined with % increased Strength modifiers on notables creates exponential scaling.
Melee Physical Damage: Juggernaut, Berserker, and Champion builds benefit immensely from the 20% increased Melee Physical Damage and Double Damage modifiers. Socket locations near Marauder or Duelist areas are ideal.
Fire Conversion Tanks: Chieftain builds using Nebuloch or other fire conversion mechanics can leverage the "Physical Damage taken as Fire Damage" modifier for both offense and defense.
Best Socket Locations: The jewel sockets near Marauder start (left side of tree), between Marauder and Duelist, and the socket near Resolute Technique are historically the most valuable for Lethal Pride due to high notable density and Strength node concentration.
